What becomes part of the course website

Use Heading 1 for modules or lessons and Heading 2 for topics within them. DOCXWebsite preserves useful Word content such as images, captions, tables, numbered steps, bulleted lists, hyperlinks, callout-style quotations and answer keys. The finished site adds navigation, full-document search and remembered progress without requiring a learning-management system.

A practical course workflow

  1. Write the course in Word, Pages or another word processor and save it as DOCX.
  2. Use consistent heading styles so lessons become clear website navigation.
  3. Add exercises, quizzes and an answer key directly in the document.
  4. Preview the course, choose Course mode and download the Netlify-ready ZIP.

When this format works best

It is especially useful for short courses, customer education, staff training, workshops, study guides and downloadable learning products. Optional password encryption can limit ordinary access, but it is not DRM and cannot prevent an authorized reader from sharing material.

See the course-building guide and the illustrated course example before creating your own.
