Understand the two parts
DOCXWebsite creates the full information website: sections, search, images, tables, lists, offline access and optional protected content. LikeAnApp™ creates a compact action page: calling, directions, the main website, menus, booking, ordering, payments and other links.
The DOCXWebsite output is already installable. The LikeAnApp companion is optional; it is useful when you want a shorter, action-first front door for customers, clients or members.
Part 1: Create the website
- Write and format the content in Word, Pages or another DOCX-compatible word processor.
- Save or export the document as DOCX.
- Open DOCXWebsite, add the DOCX and customize the title, cover, colors and options.
- Preview the result and download the Netlify-ready Website ZIP.
- Publish it and copy the final public address.
Part 2: Create the app-style companion
- Open the free LikeAnApp™ builder.
- Add the business or project name, short description, logo and colors.
- Create a Website button using the public address from Part 1.
- Add only the other actions visitors genuinely need.
- Download, publish and test the separate LikeAnApp ZIP.
Part 3: Decide what to share
Link directly to the full website when visitors need detailed information. Use the app-style address when visitors need fast access to actions. You can also create a QR code with QRHosts for either destination and place it on signs, menus, handouts, product inserts or business cards.
Costs and limitations
Both builders can be used without paying for the builder itself. Hosting providers, custom domains, booking systems, payment services and other linked services may have their own accounts, limits or charges. An installable web experience is not a native app-store application, and external links usually require an internet connection.
